About The Award
The National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) and Wells Fargo have joined together to recognize and empower the visionaries that are a vital component of our community. This award honors business owners that demonstrate the vision, leadership, innovation and perseverance necessary to be called a 2010 NBMBAA/Wells Fargo Entrepreneur Excellence Award winner. We invite you to nominate an exemplary business owner, or nominate yourself if you represent these qualities.
The two winning business owners will be recognized for their outstanding achievements and receive a $5000 grant. Chapter nominations are highly encouraged.  A $1000 incentive grant will be given to the NBMBAA chapter that submits the MOST qualified applications.

Selection Process
• Award applications are reviewed by a committee from NBMBAA and Wells Fargo leadership.
• Upon notification, finalists will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Publicity Release and are subject to personal and business background and credit checks.
• Winners will also be required to provide a digital color photograph for promotional purposes. Photo must be of professional quality and supplied as a high resolution JPEG file.
• Prize is not transferable. Federal, state and local taxes, and any unspecified expenses related to the acceptance and use of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
• The 2010 NBMBAA/Wells Fargo Entrepreneur Excellence Award winners will be recognized at the 2010 NBMBAA Annual Conference in Los Angeles. Presence of the winners is strongly encouraged. Travel, lodging and expenses are the sole responsibility of the winners.

How To Apply
1. Answer ALL evaluation criteria and reference questions on page 2, within three (3) typed pages, and complete and sign the form.
2. Submit a brief personal biography (limit to 1–2 paragraphs).
3. Submit four (4) copies of all materials.

Qualifications
Nominees must:
• be at least 18 years of age.
• be an African American owner with at least 51% interest and an active principal of the business.
• be an owner of the business for at least the last three (3) years.
