Our strategic goal is to increase and retain membership in the Los Angeles Chapter. For current financial members, don’t forget to renew your membership prior to expiration. The chapter is not only in need of your time, talent, energy and new ideas but also has a lot more to offer you in the coming months, especially with the 32nd Annual NBMBAA Conference coming up this September!
In the second quarter of 2010, the Los Angeles Chapter held three successful New Member Orientations in three counties: Los Angeles, Inland Empire and Orange County. Our Los Angeles County New Membership Orientation was held at University of Phoenix – Gardena Learning Center. The orientation was well attended with over 45 attendees. We reached a record high attendance with potential and new members.
The Inland Empire New Member Orientation took place at our Education Partner Facility – University of California, Riverside. The Los Angeles Chapter was excited to reach out to our members in the Inland Empire. We’re looking forward in bringing value to our members with our Networking Events, Programs and Professional Development in the Inland Empire County area.
Last but not least, our Corporate Partner, Hyundai, sponsored our Orange County New Member Orientation. This exciting and informative Orientation discussed membership benefits, incentives, meet other new members and upcoming local and national events. In addition, Zafar Brooks (Director, Diversity Outreach – Hyundai) presented a phenomenal presentation on Hyundai’s Social Responsibilities. Hyundai is proactive in going the extra mile in staying engaged in the community and abroad. Way to go – Hyundai!

I’m interested in joining the Los Angeles Chapter and attending the New member orientation in August. I am not sure what membership is right for me. I just completed my BA and I’m presently consulting with different schools for an MBA program. Please advise which membership is appropriate for me. Also, location of orientation and how to register for Conference in September as well. Thank you in advance.
